Affordable Cellular Service for your Vacation! If you are planning a vacation to St. Maarten/St. Martin, and would like to stay in touch while on the island, you can easily do so with your own cellular phone, or a rental phone.
If you would like to pre-register your phone ahead of time, you can print our roamer application and fax it to us toll free. Our calls cost much less than the same calls from a hotel phone.
For information on how to switch your phone to the B channel, refer to the cellular phone user's manual. If the user's manual for your cellular phone is long lost, or buried in a closet somewhere, then call us for instructions (011-5995-22100), or email us at ecc@boatphone.com. Have the make and model of your phone handy when you call or write. (Listed below are brief instructions for the most common cellular phones).
How to set Motorola and Nokia phones to "B"
Visitors can activate credit-card roamer service by dialing "0" on their cellular phone (from 7AM to Midnight). Charges will be billed to your credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, or American Express) and an invoice will be mailed to your home. Visitors who bring a cellular phone may dial 911 for a police emergency even if the phone is not registered. The daily charge for use of cellular service is $3. The $3/day roaming charge does not apply on days of no usage. Our current roamer rate sheet is available by request through email at ecc@boatphone.com.
